Darazo Advocates for Wunti as APC Consensus Candidate

Khami Musa Darazo, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on the party to adopt Dr. Bala Mai Jama Wunti as its consensus candidate for the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial elections in Bauchi State.

In an interview, Darazo stressed that supporting Wunti aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, which prioritizes unity, good governance, and economic growth. He argued that Wunti embodies the ideals of this agenda and possesses the leadership capacity and experience necessary to translate national policies into tangible development at the grassroots level.

Darazo noted that adopting a consensus candidate would help prevent internal divisions and reduce friction during party primaries, ultimately strengthening the APC's chances of reclaiming Bauchi State. He emphasized the importance of unity within the party and urged stakeholders to prioritize collective interests over personal ambitions.

Darazo reaffirmed loyalty to President Tinubu and highlighted the need for the APC to embrace a unified strategy to support Wunti's candidacy for a prosperous future for the people of Bauchi.
