Davido Inducted as Voting Member of Recording Academy Ahead of 2026 Grammy Awards

Nigerian Afrobeat star Davido has been officially inducted as a voting member of the Recording Academy, the organization responsible for the prestigious Grammy Awards. This new role grants Davido the opportunity to directly participate in the final ballot process for the 2026 Grammy Awards, following his three Grammy nominations in 2024.

The Recording Academy aims to diversify and expand its membership base by including African and international artists like Davido. The voting for the 2026 Grammy Awards will officially open on October 3, 2025.

Davido expressed his pride in joining the music professionals' community and emphasized the importance of having a voice in shaping one of the world's biggest music awards.
