Roberto De Zerbi, the current coach of Tottenham Hotspur, has expressed his ambition for the team to make a significant leap forward this season following their narrow escape from relegation for the second consecutive year. De Zerbi, who successfully guided Tottenham away from relegation on the last day of the previous season, emphasized the need to improve the team's performance, organization, and style of play.

He stated, “We have to push for the style of play and the organization,” while aiming to create a team with “a soul.” Tottenham has supported De Zerbi by investing over £237 million in new players while allowing several to depart. The exclusion from European competition this season will provide De Zerbi with additional time to work with the squad, reducing the physical demands of a congested fixture schedule.
