Defence Minister Praises Otti, Launches Basketball Initiative

On the occasion of the inauguration of the newly constructed Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Administrative Complex in Umuahia, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), the Minister of Defence, commended Abia State Governor Dr Alex Otti for his strategic investment in national security. Musa described the project as a demonstration of how state governments can enhance Nigeria’s national security architecture.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration among all tiers of government and security agencies to achieve lasting peace. Musa charged Air Force personnel in Abia to ensure their presence fosters peace and safety for the civilian population.

He assured that resolutions from the recent South-east Security Summit would be implemented to promote long-term peace and economic prosperity. Governor Otti, in his address, reiterated his administration’s commitment to the safety of Abia residents and expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for facilitating the NAF's presence in the state.

Air Marshal Aneke also acknowledged the governor's efforts.
