Trump Congratulates Democrats, Denies Blame for Losses

United States President Donald Trump congratulated Democrats on their reported victories in the November 3rd midterm elections. During a telephone interview with Fox News, Trump stated that the Republican Party's electoral setbacks should not be interpreted as a rejection of his leadership.

He acknowledged the Democrats' performance but insisted that his administration had achieved significant successes during his presidency. Trump remarked, “Congratulations to the Democrats.

They did a good job. They’ve been looking for this one for 11 years, and they finally got it.

But I don’t view it as a hit on me.” He emphasized that he was not a candidate in the congressional elections and believed Republicans would have performed better if his name had been on the ballot. Trump also attributed some of the party's challenges to rising prices linked to the conflict involving Iran.

Reports indicated that the Democrats secured control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
