Depots Slash Petrol Prices as Dangote Refinery Direct Sales Begin

Fuel depots in Nigeria, including Dangote Refinery, have reduced petrol prices to compete for market share. A market survey revealed that nine depots, such as Heyden Integrated and 11Plc, are selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at prices ranging from N821 to N850 per liter.

Dangote Refinery's decision to sell directly to petrol stations aims to lower distribution costs and benefit consumers. The refinery, having invested N720 billion, plans to expand its distribution nationwide, starting from the South West region.

This move is expected to revolutionize the fuel distribution sector and lead to significant cost savings for Nigerians.
