Nigerian Banks Declare N180.96 Trillion in Assets for H1 2025

In the first half of 2025, nine Nigerian banks disclosed a total asset of N180.96 trillion, indicating a 9.01% rise from the previous year. Key players like Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), United Bank for Africa (UBA), and Zenith Bank PLC showcased growth in total assets.

ETI reported N40.09 trillion in total assets, while UBA and Zenith Bank PLC declared N33.3 trillion and N30.9 trillion, respectively. The CEO of Ecobank Group, Mr.

Jeremi Awori, highlighted strong growth and strategic execution. Overall, the banking sector in Nigeria demonstrated resilience and growth in asset quality.
