Olatunji Disu Assumes Office as AIG, Vows Professional Policing and Anti-Corruption Stance

Olatunji Disu has taken over as the 55th Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex Alagbon in Lagos, effective February 9, 2026. He succeeded AIG Margaret Ochalla Bill and attended a short-term professional training program in the United States.

Disu, with over three decades of experience in the police force, holds multiple master's degrees and advanced diplomas. He has served in key leadership roles nationwide, including commanding the Rapid Response Squad in Lagos and heading the Intelligence Response Team in Rivers State.

Disu has also led the Special Protection Unit and received recognition for his crime control operations. He has served in various capacities in Ondo and Rivers States, as well as internationally in Sudan.

Disu pledges to uphold high professional standards, combat corruption, and enhance the investigative capacity of the FCID Annex. He calls for support from stakeholders, sister agencies, the media, and the public to fight crime and promote justice.
