DJ Timi Launches 'Trip To Wales, Vol. 1' EP

DJ Timi, an Abuja-born DJ, has released 'Trip To Wales, Vol. 1', a four-track extended play that explores international connectivity through music. The project opens with the Welsh word for welcome and features a blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afrohouse.

DJ Timi collaborated with artists based in Wales and Nigerian artists residing in Europe. The EP was co-produced by Abuja-based producers Sickxonds and KG, who also mixed and mastered the project.

DJ Timi's intention was to create a musical space that showcases different sounds and cultures, encouraging other artists to collaborate across genres. The first track features Culz Wave, who incorporates a familiar line from Ramz, adding a sense of place to the music.

The second track, featuring Lucy Borja, is designed to be a hype track, with catchy phrases that resonate in a crowd. DJ Timi aimed for the songs to be engaging and easy to sing along to, reflecting his desire to share Nigerian energy with a new audience in Wales.
