DJAN Denies Reports of Burna Boy Song Ban Amid Incident

The Disc Jockeys Association of Nigeria (DJAN), under the leadership of President Princ Akim Edeh, has officially dismissed reports claiming that Burna Boy's songs would be banned from playlists. This statement comes in the wake of an incident involving DJ Tunez, who allegedly assaulted a DJ at a popular weekly Afrobeat event in Lagos for playing Wizkid's music instead of Burna Boy's.

DJAN described the reports as false and misleading, urging media platforms to refrain from spreading such claims. The association also condemned the unauthorized use of its logo to support the alleged ban and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a peaceful and collaborative environment within the entertainment industry.

Furthermore, DJAN stated that DJ Tunez is not a registered member of the association and advised the public to remain calm as investigations into the incident continue.
