DSS Arrests Dismissed Officers Impersonating Operatives for Fraudulent Activities

The Department of State Services (DSS) in Nigeria has confirmed the arrest of two former personnel, Barri Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, who were recently dismissed from the service. The duo allegedly impersonated DSS operatives to carry out fraudulent activities.

The DSS issued a public disclaimer warning Nigerians to beware of actions by former officers dismissed for misconduct. The arrested individuals will be prosecuted in line with legal provisions.

The DSS also announced plans to release the names of dismissed personnel as part of measures to curb misuse of its identity. The public is urged to report any suspicious activities involving individuals claiming to represent the DSS.
