Former Nigerian Justice Minister Arrested by DSS After Release from Prison

Abubakar Malami, the former Nigerian Justice Minister, was picked up by the Department of State Services (DSS) after his release from Kuje Prison in Abuja. Malami, along with his wife and son, had been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering and were granted a bail of N500 million.

The DSS initiated a fresh probe on Malami after discovering arms in his Kebbi country home during an EFCC operation. Malami has denied the accusations, labeling them as a witch hunt by the current administration.
