Super Eagles Receive National Honors and Houses as AFCON Silver Medalists

The Nigerian national football team, Super Eagles, have been awarded national honors and houses as silver medalists from the last Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament. The promises made to the team almost 30 years ago were fulfilled in 2023 by the Chairman of the Nation Sport Commission (NSC), Malam Shehu Dikko, and physical handovers of the properties were done by Morocco.

The team is set to participate in the AFCON 2025, with the government recognizing their outstanding contributions to Nigerian football and the continent. Additionally, the team received land allocations approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as part of their reward package.
