Edo Assembly to Grill Contractor Over Poor Road Project Execution

The Edo State Assembly is set to interrogate a contractor responsible for the substandard implementation of a 1.6km internal road project in Oza Community, Orhionmwon Local Government Area. The contractor, handling the project under the Edo State Oil and Gas Production Area Development Commission (EDSOPADEC), has been summoned to appear before the committee on December 15, 2025.

Lawmakers expressed disappointment over the quality of work observed on-site during an inspection visit. This move is part of the Assembly's oversight responsibilities to ensure the quality of government projects across the state.
