Edo Government Dismantles Ritualist's Properties in Uromi

The Edo State Government has demolished buildings associated with suspected ritualist Ebhata Eromosele, following his arrest amid a crackdown on criminality. The operation took place on Wednesday and involved the Edo State Special Security Squad, the police, and other security agencies.
A bungalow and four boys’ quarters in Uwalor-Oke, Uromi, were demolished, along with another building in Ewatto linked to cult activities. Eromosele is alleged to have attacked three young women, resulting in one death and another hospitalization.
During a search of his premises, security operatives recovered a bloodstained bedspread and other items indicating ritual activities. Amiolemen Idemudia, coordinator of the Edo State Special Security Squad, stated that Governor Monday Okpebholo is committed to eradicating such crimes.
The Zonal Commander of the Edo State Security Corps, SP Johnson Oyameda, confirmed that Eromosele was tracked down after a month of surveillance following the recovery of mutilated bodies. Two suspects are currently in custody for further investigation.
