EDSIEC Confirms APC Victory in Edo, Issues Certificates to Councillors-Elect

EDSIEC presented Certificates of Return to Edo Councillors-Elect, with the APC winning 59 councillorship seats across 15 local government areas. The presentation ceremony in Benin City confirmed the APC as the sole winner, as the major opposition party boycotted the election.

Despite a court order to suspend the exercise, EDSIEC proceeded with the poll. The certificates were issued to APC winners, who are expected to be sworn in as local government chairmen soon.
