EFCC Declares Ex-Abia Commissioner Enweremadu Wanted for Fund Diversion

The EFCC has declared Prince Christopher Enweremadu, a former Abia State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, wanted for alleged criminal conspiracy, diversion of public funds, stealing, and money laundering. Enweremadu is linked to the ongoing probe into the management of funds allocated to Abia's 17 local government councils.

The EFCC urges anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact their offices across various Nigerian cities. This declaration follows a court order for an investigation into the disbursement of local government funds from 2019 to 2023, with directives to seize Enweremadu's international passport and that of his aide and a ministry official.
