Emir of Potiskum Urges Peace During Eid-el-Kabir

During the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations held at the Eid ground in Potiskum, the Emir of Potiskum called on residents to embrace peace and coexistence. This appeal was made shortly after the two raka prayer, which attracted thousands of Muslims.

The Emir emphasized that peace is foundational for development and urged the community to sustain public order. He praised the Yobe State government for its commitment to the welfare and development of the people.

Additionally, he appealed to residents to continue accepting polio vaccinations to prevent possible outbreaks of disease in the state. The chief imam of Potiskum, Sheikh Goni Isah Garba Auta, led the congregational prayer and encouraged Muslims to uphold obedience, piety, and charity, demonstrating total submission to Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
