Ekiti Governor Oyebanji Engages Stakeholders for 2027 Budget

During a Town Hall Meeting on September 24, 2026, in Igbara-Odo, Ekiti Southwest Local Government Area, Ekiti Governor Biodun Oyebanji reaffirmed his respect for the people of Ekiti State, referring to them as his "benevolent employer." This meeting was part of ongoing consultations for the preparation of the 2027 Budget. Oyebanji acknowledged the support and sacrifices of the people over the past four years, attributing his administration's achievements to their cooperation.

The session included traditional rulers, community leaders, and stakeholders who expressed their developmental priorities. Oyebanji announced the reintroduction of a five-kilometre road project to improve accessibility and stimulate economic activities in rural areas.

He also committed to fast-tracking financial support for traders and artisans and emphasized human capital development. Additionally, he addressed concerns regarding development in Ekiti East, pledging to attract private sector investments and improve infrastructure, including electricity and education.
