Super Eagles Captain Confirms Resolution with NFF, Players to Train in Morocco

Super Eagles captain William Troost Ekong has confirmed that the team has resolved issues with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), enabling players to resume training in Morocco for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff against Gabon. The players had initially refused to train due to unpaid allowances dating back years.

Despite skepticism over the settlement of outstanding bonuses, the team is now focused on the upcoming match. The NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, intervened to ensure the players were paid, with player leader Maduka Okoy recently arriving at the camp.
