El-Rufai and ADC Leaders Petition Police Commission Amidst Kaduna Political Tension

Former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, and African Democratic Congress (ADC) leaders in Kaduna shunned a police invitation and instead submitted a petition to the Police Service Commission (PSC) accusing the state Commissioner of Police of unprofessional conduct. The police had sealed the ADC state secretariat and invited party leaders for questioning on alleged conspiracy and incitement.

El-Rufai's aide stated that they chose to petition the PSC due to the police commissioner's failure to address their concerns. The petition highlighted concerns about the conduct of police operatives in Kaduna.

This move comes amidst a backdrop of political tension in the state.
