Odinkalu Critiques El-Rufai's Brutal Governance Style

Chidi Odinkalu, the former chairman of Nigeria's National Human Rights Commission, has publicly criticized Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, for his treatment of citizens during his tenure. Odinkalu stated that El-Rufai's actions were marked by recklessness and brutality, asserting that he cannot now complain about due process after facing legal consequences.

El-Rufai was recently arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) and was later released on bail. His case was subsequently handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further investigation.

Odinkalu, during an interview with Channel Television, challenged El-Rufai to face the consequences of his actions while in power, emphasizing the extraordinary impunity with which he treated the populace.
