Elumelu Rejects AI Scam Video Endorsing Cryptocurrency

Toni Elumelu, a prominent African businessman and philanthropist, publicly disowned an AI-generated scam video that falsely portrayed him endorsing forex and cryptocurrency trading platforms. In a post on X, he highlighted the growing threat of artificial intelligence misuse, stating that the video, which appeared realistic, was entirely fabricated.

Elumelu stressed that he has no affiliation with any cryptocurrency or foreign exchange trading platforms and urged the public to remain cautious to avoid falling victim to digital fraud. He acknowledged the transformative potential of artificial intelligence but warned that rapid technological advancements could lead to abuse if not properly regulated.

Elumelu called for stronger safeguards to protect individuals from scams and emphasized the importance of creating a safe digital environment for genuine innovation.
