Shehu Sani Urges Nigerian Youths to Embrace Politics

Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has called on Nigerian youths to actively engage in politics by supporting young candidates and seeking election to office. He questioned why the youth are not contributing financially to purchase nomination forms for general elections, suggesting that they often prefer to buy forms for political elites instead.

Sani urged the youth to transform their social media energy into political activism and take advantage of opportunities available to them. His remarks coincided with the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office, with a donation of N10.7 million towards purchasing nomination forms.

Sani also referenced the "Not Too Young to Run" Act, which aimed to reduce the age qualification for various electoral positions in Nigeria, including the presidency and governorship. He recently expressed his intention to contest for the Kaduna Central senatorial seat.
