Emirates Prohibits Power Bank Use on Flights for Safety

Emirates Airlines has banned the use of power banks onboard flights starting October 1, 2025, due to safety concerns related to lithium incidents in the aviation industry. Passengers are still allowed to carry one power bank in their cabin baggage, but it must remain unused during the flight.

The power bank must display a clear capacity rating and be stored in the seat pocket or overhead compartment. The decision follows a safety review to prevent potential fire hazards from damaged or overcharged power banks.

Travelers can still use the aircraft's power supply to charge their electronic devices, ensuring a safer travel experience.
