This win marked Arsenal's third consecutive victory, bringing their points total to 67. In a contrasting match, Manchester City faced Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium, where they were held to a surprising 2-2 draw.

City went ahead twice, with goals from Rodri and a volley from Antoin Semenyo for Forest leveling the score on both occasions. Morgan Gibbs-White also contributed with a backheel effort.
