Rooney Praises Arsenal's Dowman as Future Premier League Star

Wayne Rooney, the former Manchester United striker, expressed his belief that 16-year-old Max Dowman, who recently made history by becoming the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history for Arsenal FC, could be a Premier League winner. Dowman scored during Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Everton FC, helping the team move nine points clear at the top of the table.

Rooney, who previously held the record for scoring at 16 years old against Arsenal in 2002, praised Dowman's confidence and presence on the pitch. However, he also noted that Dowman must focus on his education as he prepares for his GCSE examinations, emphasizing the importance of balancing sports with academic responsibilities.

Rooney reflected on his own early career, recalling how he earned just £75 a week and occasionally borrowed money from his parents when he scored his famous goal against Everton at the age of 16.
