Chelsea's McFarlane Confident Despite Recent Slump

Chelsea FC's interim manager Calum McFarlane stated that the team can still salvage their season despite a challenging period marked by five straight Premier League defeats, during which they failed to score a single goal. The situation escalated after a 3-0 loss to Brighton, leading to the dismissal of former manager Liam Rosenior just 106 days into his tenure.

McFarlane, who briefly led the team following the departure of Enzo Maresca in January, addressed the media for the first time since Rosenior's departure. He acknowledged the team's struggles but emphasized the talent within the squad and their potential to turn the season around.

Additionally, he mentioned that Brazilian winger Estevao would not play for the rest of the season due to injury, which is unfortunate given his young talent. Chelsea is set to face Leeds in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday, aiming to restore some pride.
