Eberechi Eze Matches Henry, Van Persie’s Arsenal Record

Eberechi Eze, a player for Arsenal, matched the goal record of former club legends Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie during a North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on a weekend. Eze scored two goals, leading Arsenal to a 4-1 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

His performance, alongside teammate Viktor Gyökeres, who also netted a brace, secured three points for Arsenal under the management of Mikel Arteta. According to Opta, Eze's brace against Tottenham brings his total to five goals in just two league appearances against the club, placing him alongside Henry and Van Persie in the Premier League's historical tally against Spurs.

Eze is now the second player to score four or more goals in a single league season against Tottenham, following Ted Drake in the 1934-35 season, who scored five goals, and Robert Pires and Emmanuel Adebayor, who scored seven and six goals, respectively.
