Scholes Clarifies Comments on Carrick After Defeat

Paul Scholes, a Manchester United legend, addressed the backlash from his comments about Michael Carrick following United's 2-1 defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League on Wednesday. Scholes clarified that he never intended to upset Carrick, who is currently serving as the caretaker manager of the team.

Despite the loss, Carrick's side remains in third place in the Premier League, maintaining their push for Champions League qualification for the next season. Scholes made these remarks during the Good Bad Football podcast, where he expressed his respect for Carrick, describing him as one of the nicest guys in football.
