Rooney Defends Arsenal Amid Title Race Criticism

Wayne Rooney, a Manchester United legend, expressed his support for Arsenal amid criticism they have faced in the Premier League title race. Speaking on a BBC podcast, Rooney claimed that the criticism directed at Arsenal is unfair, particularly as they strive to win the English top-flight league this season.

He pointed out that despite Arsenal's current seven-point advantage over Manchester City, the title race is not over, and Manchester City remains a contender. Rooney clarified that he is not suggesting Arsenal is guaranteed to win but believes the scrutiny they are receiving is unwarranted.

He noted that under manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal has yet to win a Premier League title, while Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola, has a history of success in the league.
