Carrick Shortlisted for Premier League Manager of the Season

Michael Carrick, the caretaker head coach, has been included in a six-man shortlist for the Premier League Manager of the Season award. Carrick has overseen 15 games since taking charge in January, replacing Ruben Amorim.

He is nominated alongside prominent figures such as Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola, who are also in contention for the league title. Other nominees include Andoni Iraola and Keith Andrew.

In addition to the managerial shortlist, the Premier League Player of the Season category features eight players, including David Raya, Gabriel, Declan Rice, Antoine Semenyo, and Erling Haaland. The shortlist for the Premier League Young Player of the Season includes players aged 23 and younger, such as Mateu Fernandez and Lewis Hall.

The winners will be determined through a combination of public votes and a panel of football experts from the BBC.
