EPL: Real reason Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal snubbed Victor Osimhen – Oliseh

Nigerian football legend Sunday Oliseh has revealed the real reason top European teams like Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal snubbed Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window. Osimhen, who was previously linked with these Premier League clubs, ultimately signed a permanent deal with Napoli after a loan spell at Galatasaray.

Oliseh explained that the staggering financial package required to secure Osimhen's services was a major deterrent for the English clubs. The total cost, including wages and transfer fees, would amount to approximately €100 million over a four-year period.

Oliseh expressed disappointment that Osimhen did not end up at a top Premier League club despite interest from the likes of Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel. The striker's impressive goal-scoring record of 37 goals last season made him a sought-after player for clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal, who were in desperate need of a striker.
