Salah Bids Farewell to Liverpool After Nine Successful Years

Mohamed Salah started in his final match for Liverpool FC against Brentford on Sunday, concluding a nine-year tenure at the club. Salah, who joined Liverpool in 2017, was celebrated alongside teammate Andi Robertson, with both players receiving a warm farewell from fans at Anfield.

Salah, who scored 257 goals for Liverpool, ranks third on the club's all-time scoring list behind Ian Rush and Roger Hunt. His departure was officially announced in March, and he has expressed a desire to return to a more aggressive playing style reminiscent of former manager Jurgen Klopp's "heavy metal football." Salah's performance dipped this season, scoring only seven league goals after being the Premier League's top scorer last season with 29 goals.

Liverpool is currently in fifth place in the Premier League, three points ahead of sixth-placed Bournemouth, as they aim for a Champions League spot.
