Tottenham Hotspur Signs Andi Robertson from Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur has completed the signing of Scotland captain Andi Robertson on a free transfer from Liverpool. The 32-year-old left-back will officially join Spurs on July 1, following the expiration of his contract with Liverpool.

Robertson's departure marks the end of a highly successful seven-year spell at Anfield, where he made 378 appearances and won two Premier League titles, a UEFA Champions League title, two League Cups, and an FA Cup. Tottenham had attempted to sign Robertson during the January transfer window but withdrew their interest when Liverpool failed to recall Kosta Tsimikas from his loan spell at Roma.

New Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi welcomed Robertson, praising his outstanding technical qualities, experience, and leadership. Johan Lang, Tottenham's sporting director, commended Robertson's professional commitment and character, stating that he will be invaluable in developing the squad and sharing ambitions to bring success back to the club.

Robertson becomes Tottenham's first major addition ahead of the new season.
