Gov. Yusuf Urges Unity Among Kano Cabinet Members

During the 38th Executive Council meeting, Kano State Governor Yusuf issued a warning to cabinet members against acts of disloyalty and rancor, emphasizing the need for commitment to the government's principles and collaboration for the development of Kano and the welfare of its people. He addressed recent defections from the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that such moves were not in the best interest of the state and that decisions were made in consultation with members of the state executive council and lawmakers.

Governor Yusuf confirmed the resignation of five commissioners following political realignments within the APC. He also expressed appreciation for the support received from the federal government, particularly from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and noted the recent destruction of goods worth billions of naira in a fire at a market in Kano.

Additionally, he announced the appointment of Bilkisu Shehu Maimota as the acting head of service following a recent removal.
