Eric Chelle Reacts After Super Eagles B Lost 4–0 to Sudan at CHAN 2024

Eric Chelle, the manager of the Super Eagles B team, expressed his disappointment after their 4-0 loss to Sudan at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The defeat resulted in Nigeria being eliminated from the tournament with zero points from two matches.

Chelle acknowledged that his team made too many mistakes and admitted that their game plan was affected by players leaving to join clubs outside the country, rendering them ineligible for selection in the CHAN. Despite the loss, Chelle remained visibly distraught but emphasized the need for better tactics.

Sudan's Ghanaian head coach, Kwesi Appiah, criticized Nigeria's gameplay and suggested they needed to improve their strategy to win. With Sudan and Senegal set to clash in a decider, Nigeria could not help Congo's cause as they had already been eliminated.
