Ese Brume Denies False Claims Post-Accident Support

Nigerian athlete Ese Brume refuted claims of receiving $30,000 in support from the National Sports Commission after a car accident. The false information, initially shared on social media, suggested financial aid following the incident.

Brume clarified the situation on Instagram, highlighting her survival from the crash and the emotional and physical impact it had on her. Despite the setback, Brume made a brave return to competition, participating in the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

Her coach, Kayode Yaya, praised her resilience and determination to compete despite the challenges she faced post-accident. Brume, a decorated athlete with numerous medals, has been representing Nigeria in international competitions since her teenage years.
