Ecobank ETI Declares 2025 Full-Year Dividend on NGX
Ecobank Transnational Incorporated has announced a final dividend of 0.16 US cents per ordinary share for the year ended 31 December 2025, subject to shareholder approval at the 2026 AGM. For Nigerian retail investors holding ETI shares on the NGX, this signals a cash return — though the dollar-denominated payout means naira value will depend on the prevailing exchange rate at payment date.
Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) has disclosed a proposed full-year dividend of 0.16 US cents (US$0.0016) per ordinary share for the financial year ended 31 December 2025. The announcement, filed on 15 April 2026, confirms the dividend is subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting scheduled for 3 June 2026.
Payment is set for 30 June 2026, exclusively through electronic channels to shareholders on the register as at the qualification date of 12 June 2026. The register closes from 15 to 19 June 2026.
Because the dividend is denominated in US dollars, Nigerian shareholders will receive a naira equivalent that depends entirely on the USD/NGN exchange rate at the time of payment — a key variable investors must track. Shareholders who have not yet completed e-dividend registration with Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions are at risk of missing the payment and should act before the 12 June qualification date.
ETI's authorised capital stands at US$1.25 billion. Investors should watch the AGM outcome on 3 June for formal approval of the dividend, monitor the USD/NGN rate ahead of the 30 June payment date, and ensure their e-dividend mandates are active with Greenwich Registrars.
