Senator Natasha to Resume Senate Duties After Six-Month Suspension

Senator Natasha, representing Kogi Central, is set to return to the National Assembly after a six-month suspension for alleged insubordination. Her lawyer, Victor Giwa, confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made for her resumption when the Senate reconvenes on September 23.

Natasha had been suspended for rejecting a reassignment of her designated seat in the plenary. Despite facing obstacles during previous attempts to return, her legal team is confident that the court dispute will not affect her mandate.

Natasha has consistently maintained that her suspension was politically motivated, linking it to a petition against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which was dismissed by the Senate.
