Abia Councillors Endorse Otti for 2027 Re-election Bid

A group of former councillors from Abia State has officially endorsed Governor Alex Otti for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections. This decision was reached during a meeting held at the family home of Chima Anyaso in Igber on Monday.

Toni Agbanyim, the state coordinator, expressed readiness to collaborate with stakeholders to sustain Otti's administration beyond 2027. Anyaso highlighted the importance of equitable zoning arrangements within the Bend Local Government Area, particularly emphasizing the need for representation from Umunna.

The group noted that the southern bloc had held the position for eight years, making it an appropriate time for a response to calls for representation. They assured that they would provide quality representation and sustain support for Otti's administration, acknowledging his fulfillment of promises, including the payment of councillor arrears.

The former councillors pledged to mobilize grassroots support to ensure Otti's re-election and Anyaso's anticipated candidacy for the Bend Federal Constituency seat in 2027.
