Ex-Arsenal Player Billy Vigar Dies at 21 Due to Brain Injury Incident

Former Arsenal player Billy Vigar, aged 21, tragically passed away due to a severe brain injury sustained during a match incident between Chichester City and Wingate Finchley. Vigar was placed in an induced coma after striking a concrete wall while trying to keep the ball in play, leading to the match being abandoned after 13 minutes.

Despite undergoing an operation to aid his recovery, Vigar succumbed to his injuries. Having joined Arsenal's academy at 14, he signed his first professional contract with the Gunners in July 2022.

His untimely death has deeply saddened the football community.
