Former Delta Deputy Governor Chief Benjamin Elue Dies at 85

Chief Benjamin Elue, who served as the Deputy Governor of Delta State from 1999 to 2007 under former Governor Chief James Ibori, has died at the age of 85. His passing occurred on a Saturday, and Governor Oborevwori expressed profound sadness over the loss, describing Elue as a loyal patriot and a committed party man whose contributions to the growth and stability of Delta State will remain indelible in its history.

Oborevwori noted that Elue's time in office was marked by humility, dedication to duty, and unwavering loyalty to the administration he served. The governor extended condolences through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus, acknowledging the shock and pain felt by many due to Elue's passing.
