Hayatu-Deen Leaves PDP, Joins ADC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a former presidential aspirant, has officially left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In a statement on Sunday, he expressed that his decision was driven by the need for a credible political alternative capable of delivering security, economic stability, and job creation as Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections.

Hayatu-Deen highlighted the internal crisis within the PDP and the exodus of its members to other parties, including the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ADC. He emphasized the shrinking democratic space in Nigeria and the need for a government focused on addressing fundamental issues such as insecurity and the rising cost of living.

Hayatu-Deen pledged to leverage his decades of experience in business and economic reform to support the ADC's campaign efforts and work towards a safer and more prosperous future for Nigeria.
