Hunter Biden disclosed in a BBC interview that his father, former US President Joe Biden, is facing a challenging battle with cancer, which has metastasized to his bones. He described the illness as painful and debilitating, stating, “I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good — the cancer has spread.” Joe Biden announced his diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer in May 2025, four months after leaving the White House.

Initially, he reported that his treatment was progressing well and expressed gratitude for the support he received. He mentioned that doctors expected him to respond positively to medication, stating, “The prognosis is good, we’re working on it.” In recent months, Biden has focused on spending more time with his family during his treatment.

His health had been a topic of public discussion during his presidency and the 2024 presidential campaign, which he withdrew from in July 2024, leading to Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic nominee.
