Ex-Lawmaker Urges Probe as Bandits Accuse Kwara Govt of Supplying Arms

A former Kwara State lawmaker, Bakar, has urged the federal government to investigate claims made by bandits alleging that the Kwara State Government supplied arms and ammunition to them. This follows the circulation of a viral video showing suspects, including a Nigerian soldier, alleging state government sponsorship.

The Kwara State Government has denied the allegations, attributing the suspect's arrest to Auchi, Edo State, not Ifelodun, Kwara State. The Ifelodun Local Government Chairman, Femi Yusuf, confirmed the situation and emphasized the need for security cooperation in the area.
