Family Drags Singer Uche Ibeto to Court Over Late Mother's Properties

Singer Uche Ibeto is facing a legal battle as the family of the late Esther Ibeto has taken him to court over the alleged unlawful possession of her properties, cash, valuables, and title documents. The family accuses Ibeto of defamatory statements against them in the media.

They are demanding a monetary compensation of N10 million for defamation, along with a court order for Ibeto to return the assets and provide a full account of the estate's finances. Ibeto is also accused of withdrawing money from the deceased's bank account without authorization.

The case is ongoing at the Lagos State High Court.
