The conflict between the two began after Momodu made disparaging remarks about President Bola Tinubu's administration during an appearance on Channel Television, where he described Tinubu's governance as dictatorial.

In response, Fani-Kayode issued a lengthy and expletive-laden article on social media, which further escalated the situation. Momodu retaliated with his own article, which included severe insults directed at Fani-Kayode.

However, Fani-Kayode has now taken a step back and declared a ceasefire, citing the intervention of a highly respected leader as a catalyst for this decision. This development marks a significant shift in the ongoing feud between the two political figures.
