Kano Murder Suspect's Father Demands Son's Execution After Confession

The father of Umar, a murder suspect in Kano, is demanding his son's death after Umar confessed to killing his aunt, Fatima Abubakar, and six children in broad daylight. Umar, currently in police custody, admitted to the recent attack in Tudun Yola where two houses were set ablaze.

In an interview with Freedom Radio, Malam Auwal, the suspect's father, described his son as a menace to society and insisted on his execution rather than imprisonment. Umar's father also alleged that Umar had killed his younger sister a year ago.

The case has sparked outrage in Kano and beyond.
