Father Risks His Life, Confronts Armed Robbers Who Attacked His Wife, 1-Year-Old Son in Kano

A young couple in Kano narrowly escaped a phone snatching incident last month, but faced a more terrifying ordeal when armed robbers attacked the wife and 1-year-old son. The husband, Abdullahi Sani, bravely confronted the robbers, risking his life to save his family.

The assailants pressed a knife to the baby's neck, demanding the phone, but Abdullahi's quick action led to a commotion that allowed his family to escape. The couple reported the incident, highlighting the rise in phone snatching and armed robberies in Kano.

The police have made several arrests in connection to these crimes, including a man named Shamsu Yakubu, who was arrested by Kano Hisbah. The suspect claimed the act was staged for social media attention, but was condemned for eroding Islamic moral values.
